It's a boy!

We found out that our sweet baby #2 is a boy!  We've chosen to name him Micah.  To announce, we had some Christmas card photos taken by a friend.  Our Christmas picture days are always notoriously freezing cold, and this day was no exception of course! That being said, we got very few smiles from Carter.  I think (hope) he'll be more excited about getting a little brother when the time comes...

We also got some pictures of our Micah. I know I'm biased but I just melted when I saw that little arm tucked in under his face.  It was an early ultrasound because of some issues I was having and although it was a little bit of a scary situation, everything ended up being okay and seeing Micah totally made up for all the stressfulness of the unknown.  When I saw that image on the ultrasound, one verse immediately came to mind.

For you created me in my inmost being;

you knit me together in my mother's womb. 

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made:

your works are wonderful,

I know that full well. 

My frame was not hidden from you

when I was made in the secret place,

when I was woven together in the depths 

of the earth. 

Your eyes saw my unformed body;

all the days ordained for me were written 

in your book

before one of them came to be.
